A campfire legend turned card game for 2 to 8 players. Build campsites, summon the fire bear, and banish travelers from his land.

It started as a poem

Gather round this fire and hear a tale. It's a legend that comes from the sky; About a man, after judgment was passed, was left on a trail to die.

Lone Bear Sky began as a campfire poem: a new story to tell around the fire, in place of the ones everybody has already heard. It follows a lost traveler on the trail of forty-nine who strikes his last match and wakes something old in the wood.

In the card game, you are that traveler. Lone Bear Sky spared your life, and in exchange you find other travelers and banish them from his land.

Every copy of the game comes with a pocket-sized copy of the poem.

Every card tells part of the tale

Card names come straight from the poem's lines. A few from the Campfire and Lone Bear Sky decks:

How it plays

Lone Bear Sky mixes hand management, push-your-luck and a little memory. Three kinds of travelers gather at your campfires, and each kind gives you a perk.

Roll the adventure dice once during your turn.

Draw from the gold and greed bag once during your turn.

Settler traveler card

Settlers

Look at one Lone Bear Sky row card once during your turn.

  1. Build campsites

    Attach two or more travelers of the same kind to a campfire. Play up to five cards on your turn.

  2. Summon Lone Bear Sky

    Play Wood, Flame and Ash together to summon him, then banish as many of your campsites as you dare.

  3. Count your victory points

    Each banished campsite earns a token worth two points. Each gold is worth one. The most points wins.
